Enjoy an unforgettable visit to Porter's Farm with our exclusive Highland Cow Experience. Whether you're joining us just to meet our gentle "Hairy Coos" or choosing to finish your visit with one of our delicious homemade afternoon teas, this is a truly memorable experience for animal lovers of all ages. Your experience begins with a warm welcome from our team, followed by a short safety briefing. We'll then take a leisurely walk to the Highland cow paddock, where you'll step into the field and meet our beautiful Highland cows up close. Spend quality time stroking, brushing and cuddling our friendly Highland cows while learning a little about their unique personalities and this iconic Scottish breed. There will be plenty of opportunities to take photographs, so don't forget your camera – these gentle giants love the attention! If you've chosen to add our Homemade Afternoon Tea to your booking, you'll return to our café afterwards where a private reserved table will be waiting for you. Relax and enjoy a freshly prepared afternoon tea, lovingly made by our talented chefs using homemade treats and quality ingredients. Whether you choose the Highland Cow Experience on its own or with afternoon tea, your booking also includes full admission to Porter's Farm for the entire day. After your experience, you're welcome to explore the farm at your leisure, meet all of our other friendly animals, enjoy the play areas, and visit our café. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions, gifts, or simply a unique day out, our Highland Cow Experience is one you'll be talking about long after your visit. Please note these sessions are 30 minutes only but includes full access to the farm all day. - Price is per person, please be sure to select the right amount at checkout - Children are welcome over the age of 8 years old but MUST be accompanied by a participating adult under the age of 16 years old - Maximum group size: 6 people - Sensible footwear and clothing are recommended - We have no onsite parking, but parking is just outside of the gates. - Dress for the farm, it may be muddy! - Good mobility is essential *** PLEASE NOTE *** These are mixed group sessions of up to 6 participants so there may be others in your group. If you would like a private session then please contact us before booking. There will be an additional charge for private sessions.
Cancellation Policy
Meet & Greets T&C’S * Your booking includes farm entry for the day so feel free to turn up before hand and explore, but please head to the shop/cafe 10 minutes before you session start time. * Not recommended if you're pregnant. *Parking is located outside of the farm on the stone car park. Parking inside the gates is strictly for disabled parking. * The meet and greets are in a field so please wear suitable footwear as animals do go for the toilet. * In the event of rain and or wind please do dress accordingly as this is outside without shelter. * As much as our animals are tame they are farm animals, some have horns and teeth! * Children over the age of 8 years old are welcome, however we do ask that they are well behaved and must be accompanied by a participating adult at all times. * Dogs unfortunately are not allowed, although the cafe & shop is dog friendly. * Please don’t chase any animals on site, if they do not wish to interact and wonder off. Please do not follow or chase them. * We ask that you respect us, our land and animals. We have the right to ask you to leave at any point during the meet and greet. * In the event of failing to show up for your booking, payment is non refundable. * This booking is for 30 minutes only. * We do have toilets on site. * Hand wash facilities are available once you exit the farm and located on the cafe outside wall. * We are running back to back with times so if you are more than 10 minutes late we won’t be able to accommodate you. * It is possible that in adverse weather conditions, we may have to cancel the bookings at short notice. We will offer full refunds or a voucher to book another date that suits you. * If you cancel your booking less than 48hrs before there will be no refund or voucher given as it is unlikely that we will be able to fill this slot at short notice.
